Urinary Sediment Stain

Camco^® URI-CEL is a classic liquid staining solution used to identify centrifuged urinary sediment particles. This includes blood components, casts, bacteria, fungi and parasites. Uri-Cel is packaged in a convenient, economical, one ounce amber glass bottle with a plastic dropper tip.

Directions:

1. Centrifuge 10-15 mL freshly voided urine (pH should be 4-8, adjust if necessary).
2. Decant the supernatent urine.
3. Add one to two drops of Uri-Cel.
4. Mix by agitation.
5. Transfer a drop f the stained sediment to a slide, add a cover slip and exam.
